Hey all! I have had a great day! Work went surprisingly well and the morning flew! Yippeeeee!
The biggest news of the day....or week...maybe the year so far? That I scored a great job, it was by luck but I am so happy right now, means I can finally move on and sort my life out! Means now I can look forward to booking my make up course and stuff!
Also! I have agreed to go on holiday with the fam to Barcelona! 7 days of culture, gorgeous men and food - I literally cannot wait! I was umm'ing and arr'ing for a while because I didn't want to miss a job opportunity for a holiday yknow?! But yeh its all falling into place so I'm happy!
I treated myself to some spray tan and some lovely pampering bits as I'm aching like anything :(

Superdrug £1 MUA Wonder Stick
Bored of paying out for eyebrow tints? Well I was and then I found the new range of eyebrow liners from the amazing MUA line of £1 cosmetics from Superdrug.
The eyebrow liner comes in a BIIIIG pencil, which is good as get good use out of it for your £1, however its not really ideal for travel make-up bags. The added bonus is that it has a little brush built in at the end.
(I must add at this point, I can't find a photo ANYWHERE of above product , so I once I have unpacked from the weekend I will add a photo later of it)
I have to mention that so far I have been VERY impressed with the MUA collection from Superdrug, its all fantastic quality for £1, you can get a whole look for £5 which really is fantastic in todays eco-climate too!!!!
When applying it , apply the liner lightly over the brow with the liner vertical sweeping, instead of pointing it on the brow like your applying eyeliner. This ensures a not so strong colour to start with,( I always suggest starting lighter and getting darker if required.)
Afterwards use the light brush to spread the pencil evenly on the brow, and tidy up by running a cotton bud along the bottom and top of the brow - lovely and defined and add enhancement to eye make-up.
Anyway, I will be rude, I have been up for nearly 19 hours and I am starting to struggle a little, so I shall bid you all a good night and sleep tighty!

Not sure what to make of this!

Went to the doctors this morning in response to my hearing test, they confirmed the same thing as I already knew and I should be being referred to the hospital soon for further testing! eeeek! >.<
I am very happy at the moment, work is going ok, I have some great friends, a fab boyfriend and lots coming up to be excited about :)))) *MORE REVIEWS TO COME LATER*

My Ultimate Autumn/Winter 2010/Spring 2011 Product.
W7 SILKY SMOOTH BLUSH COMPACT - buy here!
I am sooooo pleased I found this product, I kept seeing it online and in my MakeUp Mecca (All Wellangood) and I didn't think I could justify YET another blusher to my growing collection, after having several that are lovely and subtle, I have chubby cheeks but I still wanted more definition on the cheekbones I wish I had :))
This compact is around £2.75 inc postage online, I would advise buying online as the W7 products are few and far between available on the high street/department store. All Wellangood being a good example sell this at £3.50 , but the advantage of spending a little more is that you see the product and test the 4 different shades before purchase.
The First Impressions of the box is that its a sturdy well designed case with a clever mirror style back so it means one less item (the mirror) in your bag, I personally don't believe the casing is big, however some friends disagree - it might have something to do with me giving it pride of place everywhere!
The Application
The product as the name suggests is VERY smooth, the downside is there is no applicator, however.....this product is ideal as using your pinkies is a better way to apply it - also you do not need alot of the product to make a good impression on those plum and cheekbone areas. Also the handy mirror on the back ensures that Public Transportista's such as myself find it EVEN more easy to apply 'on the go'
It gives a soft glow (depending on shade) and looks very natural and healthy with a touch of glamour, its just lovely and doesn't feel heavy or look too fake.
My Personal Likes
The whole package works for me, I love the shade, colour, price, length of use.....the entire sha-bang!!
My Personal Dislikes
I just wish it was more easy to buy in the high street, I mean my local All Wellangood is only in town (20 mins away) but just the general range really!
Rating: .....wait for it....... 5/5 (Sparkles&Mirrors first full marks!)

Well I have even more news....can only mean one thing!
Hey guys! well finally it is Friday! had a good week, very tiring on Monday though (was up for around 21 hours....) didn't really seem to get over that!! But alas.....Only one Saturday morning of work then I get get down to the nitty gritty of Darling Buds of May and trying to find a 'victim' to practise make-up on for the rest of the weekend! - this is a real thing for me as I am worried everyones looking at me expecting things and I f'ck up at the last hurdle.
Things on the make-up side died down a bit after Monday, but I contacted Charlie again at Fierce Photography (thanks for following me on here btw Charlie ;) and she said that she had some models very interested, they would be basic shots and she would give me some free photos in return for my lovely portfolio - so that is MEGA exciting, just need to get a folder.
Got lots of reading to do this weekend, I am hoping my Issue 4 & 6 of FaceON Magazine turn up as I need lots of inspiration, also found a few lovely shots in the new Elle magazine last night so much so I ordered the new Elle Collection as I love fashion and theres make-up in there too!
So I hope you are all OK and have lovely weekends!

A lovely surprise amidst the chaos!
Well how are we all? Kent has had lovely weather recently, very spring like, good job too as I'm almost busybee like! Lots of work to do.
The Darling Buds of May production is going well, I finally met the actors for the local production I am helping with. Its all coming together lovely and I really think my ideas will help bring the characters to life and make them memorable to the audience.
I received a lovely email last night from Natasha Booth who is head editor and brains behind my favourite make-up magazine FaceOn. I emailed her for advice (not expecting a reply!) She PERSONALLY wrote back a while back and I was well chuffed! I took her advice then and scored a few things and I have her to thank for providing my rocket! Haha.
Anyway! Well the screenmunch from my Blackberry below shows the evidence! Nice to know I'm still in their thoughts!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipgloss
Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipgloss
Product Description as Advertised:
‘…Luxurious feel from nourishing honey nectar…’
The verdict:
First Impressions: I majorly dig this lipgloss, after becoming a bigger fan of Maybelline through my earlier discovery of the eyeshadow trio’s I was again excited to receive a lipgloss. I am very picky about lipgloss, I like to feel it being smooth, even with bits of shimmer on, I can’t stand the ‘sandy’ feel.
The lipgloss is a lovely size and looks a good product, however the Maybelline plastic wrapping comes off and then its just a plain lipgloss with no logos or anything – which I found a little confusing, they make a great product and don’t leave a calling card!
Application: When I first applied the gloss, I could feel it was good quality, it glided on nicely and I didn’t need a base layer of balm or anything which is what I normally do, I use it all the time now and my friends even comment on it, so it really has been a winner – you have to be careful though as sometimes if you over apply, despite the ‘honey nectar’ my lips did feel a little dry, so maybe lining with a balm may not be such a bad idea.
Likes
The size, the feel, the price, the effect……
Dislikes
The look of the product with no logo on for the brand L
Ideal if….
You want a gorgeous feeling lipgloss which is a good handbag size and not a damaging price.

Wet n Wild Ultimate Minerals Eyeshadow
Wet n Wild Ultimate Minerals Eyeshadow
Product Description as Advertised:
‘…Perfect loose powder eyeshadows in mix and match colours that blend well together, highlighting, lining and contour your eyes. Silky soft powder formula…’
The verdict:
First Impressions: The product is an ideal size for on-the-go and wouldn’t look bulky on your make-up shelf. I like the idea of the loose powder, having been scared before of taking pots of dust and it going everywhere and you looking suspicious – never a good look. But the little wand with a foamy nib is a great idea to keep it under control, this was my impression anyway…
Application: This is where I got a little bit disappointed, I do love wet n wild products, however this time I was not entirely convinced, earlier I mentioned about powder going everywhere, WELL…..this time you unscrew the tube and pull the wand out, but as you do the little foamy ball on the end is almost too big for the tube as it pops out and little bits of powder go everywhere L so for me that was a major downside. BUT – that aside…..it sweeps on lovely and is easily blended after.
Likes
Size and ideal for handbags and touch-ups, in a good variety of colours and the price is unbeatable.
Dislikes
The little powder firework display….that is all really.
Ideal if….
You like your cosmetics on the go, or a tidy little addition to your make up shelf at home.

BIG NEWS! squeeee!
Well very happy now, got a long reply to my email last night from the chairman (Penny) of Egerton Players who are a local Am-Dram group - they are holding a lovely production of a classic Kentish story 'Darling Buds of May' They usually do 2-3 productions a year and Penny mentioned she would love to meet up with me and maybe formulate some ideas for the play! I am really looking forward to this production and the other 2 as they are all very different so it will give ma variety! Just hope I can get some good photos for my portfolio! Might have to get the boyfriend to lend me the camera.....haha!

Well it's all going on....
'Busy Bee' seems to be my middle name at the moment! I have been working lots, also trying to find another more stable job....and even then....what is ever 'stable' at the moment? Especially in job terms.
I have been looking at other make up courses and for the same price as the one I was initially interested in, I have discovered several other more extensive ones that run over 18 weeks and its 1 evening a week, so it seems ideal and the courses sound more in-depth and also covers different areas.
I think I might do a big indepth make-up course then add little one day courses in various other things like massage and eyelash extensions then I can build up my own little range of services :o)
I have a few job interviews lined up for new positions so it should be good, I need more hours and better pay - also this whole self employed malarkey is a little scary, I am petrified to spend money as I need to save it for my tax, worked hard to get out of debt and knowing my luck I will go straight back in again come April !! ARGHHHHH!
Well less of my random ramblings, I will be posting some more make up looks soon as I need to start practicing on people other than myself, I think its gonna be very hard :( so better start sooner rather than later.
If anyone who reads this is from Kent, I am holding a make-up day at my house on the 6th March - email me for more details! :)
