It has taken me a while to realize this, but you have to live your life for you....not for anyone else. It may sound selfish but you only have one life....your life and you do what you will - you often find selfless people are sometimes the loveliest people you will ever meet, but often they are the ones who reach mid life and wonder what they have achieved and that they wish they did more for themselves. coincidence? nope!
